<p>Mr. <strong>Mwambusya John</strong> is a renowned hotel manager having worked with several high profile hotels and entertainment centers in Uganda for over 10 years. A graduate of hotels and restaurant management, John has been a very successful hotel manager at Hearts 4 Peace. John is responsible for organizing and coordinating all entertainment and catering services during workshops, seminars, workshops and lunch and learns. One thing very clear to John’s friends and colleagues is that he is God fearing, committed, self starter and has excellent interpersonal skills with his clients.</p>
<p>John is a result driven hotel professional with extensive experience in the hotel administration and support of the management systems. He is an expert in the implementation, analysis, optimization,</p>
<p>trouble shooting and documentation of hospitality networking systems. John’s proven ability to lead and motivate project teams to ensure success, has earned him and Hearts 4 Peace the respect and recognition for excellent catering services during our workshop learning’s. as a continuous learner, John is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Business Administration in Hospitality industry from American Intercontinental University (AIU).</p>

Abel as well sits on H4P’s Board and has worked tirelessly hard to help H4P to reach several churches and schools in Uganda with special peace campaigns and packages.</p>
<p>Abel is the founder of a handful of prosperous organizations and institutions such as; Holly Bible College International, Living Grace Church, Let Jesus Satisfy Evangelical Ministries. He is also a board member of Agape Global Ministries International (USA), board member of Parenting Uganda, national treasurer and Head of Missions Pentecostal Ministries of Ugandan Churches.</p>
<p>Well known for repetitively demonstrating the <strong><em>Grace of God</em></strong>, Abel is the author of books such as “Power of Grace” and “Prayers that Touches God’s Heart and Moves his Hands” among others. Dr. Abel also serves as the Chaplain and board member ABC Children; as well as the spiritual mentor Action for Children. Dr. Abel feels honored and humbled to continue serving the Lord as a peace animator in Schools and Churches with the various Hearts 4 Peace campaigns.</p>

<p>Plea to joining Hearts 4 Peace – Uganda, Solomon worked as a telecom engineer (Radio Frequency technician) for various communication companies in Uganda. He also worked for Sony Ericsson and Alcatel Technologies in frequency configuration and maintenance.</p>
<p>At Hearts 4 Peace, Solomon is particularly happy to have found an organization where joy and love are key cherished values at the workplace and throughout the program design. Solomon is always delighted to wake up early every morning knowing that he is going to work in a peaceful environment and above all, providing his information technologies expertise to help H4P achieve its peace mission to families and workplaces.</p>

As her name suggests, Joy is a jolly mother of two handsome sons: Glenn and Alvin and believes that the most important gift you can give to your family is <strong>love and joy</strong> which are fundamental to building sustainable peace in every family household.</p>
<p>Her long term beliefs in family and community peace could be the simple explanation why she has spent a huge chuck of her adult life working for peace in families and communities with various development organizations in Eastern Africa. A graduate of Purchasing and Supplies Management of Makerere University Business School in Kampala Uganda, Joy has taken various professional development courses in community development, conflict resolution, training of trainers, HIV/AIDS guidance and counseling, project planning and management among others from various institutions in the Great Lakes Region. Joy has worked with various institutions in Uganda and neighboring countries; and below is a quick selection of some of her consultancy work in the region.</p>
<p><strong>2010 – To-date:  Hearts 4 Peace – Senior Animator </strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Animator/facilitator in courses, workshops, seminars and lunch and learns offered by H4P in various parts of Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, Burundi and Southern Sudan.</li>
<li>Member of the consulting team for intra-organizational conflict transformation and peacebuilding and intra-family conflict management.</li>
<li>Secretary organizing committee for H4P annual public events like international day of peace, women’s day, mothers’ day, fathers’ day, labor day among others.</li>
<li>Family Peace Animator and Faith-based Animator</li>
<li>Specialist in Family-based violence transformation and peacebuilding</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>2006 – 2010: Uganda Health Marketing Group</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Contracted under Network of Stepping Stones Approaches to facilitate married couples and test the ‘Families that Prosper’ manual countrywide.</li>
<li>Based on research findings that HIV was on the rise among married couples, our trainings helped to reduce new infections among married couples countrywide.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>2009 – Planning Development and Rehabilitation (PDR) of the Church of Uganda (C.0.U)</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Contracted under Network of Stepping Stones Approaches to train clergy and heads-of-lighty on peace and good governance programme countrywide.</li>
<li>Was in charge of of Eastern and Northern centres such as: Arua, Lira, Karamoja, Soroti and Kapchorwa .</li>
<li>Evaluated as highly successful Theatre for Development (TFD) Program and that gives the voiceless a strong voice and a strong platform for effective advocacy.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>2008 – 2009: Build Africa</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Contracted to facilitate Post-Test-Clubs (PTCs) on Positive Living using the award winning ‘Stepping Stones Manual &amp; Video’ in Eastern Uganda.</li>
<li>Trained community trainers who have since trained various clubs in different communities.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>2008 – Nile Breweries</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Contracted by Nile Breweries in the Health ‘Promotion Effort’ to create awareness about HIV/AIDS using the popular Theatre for Development</li>
<li>Senior mobilize for voluntary counseling and testing (VCT) for especially married couples and people in other relationships.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>2007 – 2008: Care Rwanda</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Contracted to train Care staff countrywide in Stepping Stones Methodologies</li>
<li>Focused on Health Communication using the Stepping Stones Approach</li>

<li>Trained NUDIPU Staff and selected members using the stepping stones methodologies with a view of empowering the program with communication, confidence, assertiveness, advocacy skills among others.</li>
<li>Adapted the stepping stones manual to a manual customized for the learning needs of the disabled persons countrywide.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>2001 – 2002: ACTION AID – Kenya</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Trained Post Test Clubs on living positively with HIV using the stepping stones methodologies in Kisumu Kenya.</li>
<li>This was the first time stepping stones was being introduced in Kenya and it has since changed and touched many souls countrywide.</li>
</ul>

<p><strong>2000 – 2002: United Nations International Children Education Fund (UNICEF)</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Using theatre for development to communicate on various community challenges such as HIV/AIDS, domestic violence, child rights and responsibilities, poverty etc</li>
<li>Also used Stepping Stones Methodology on similar community challenges as above.</li>
<li>Training centres in Uganda included: Kabale, Kasese, Arua, Mbale, Lira, Gulu, Kampala, Iganga, etc.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>1996 – 2000: Uganda Veterans Assistance Board</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Female facilitator for a countrywide training program for the ‘demobilized veteran soldiers in communication skills using theatre for development</li>
<li>Trainings helped to reduce crime rates caused by unemployment of x-soldiers.</li>
<li>Follow-up indicated that most veterans had been engaged in income generating activities as a result of our campaigns.</li>

Philip Rabwoni Winyi a Minister of Foreign Relations in Tooro Kingdom has in the past 20 years been actively engaged in community development work with various organizations and institutions in the private and civil society sectors in Africa. Winyi was the main proponent and author for the technical document for The African Cultural Leaders Forum, currently a key platform for all cultural leaders on the continent. Winyi has accumulated a wealth of experiences and expertise managing and offering consulting services to public/private enterprises especially in the print and electronic media. For instance, he assisted to set up many radio and television stations among them: Co-founder and director Voice of Tooro, Pearl Digital TV, TransNile Broadcasting Services, Grace FM, Messenger FM, among many others.</p>
<p>A former graduate and Tutor at the department of Political Science and Public Administration – Makerere University, Winyi also worked for the New Vision as an advertising officer, Weekly Topic as advertising manager during which he earned himself a recognition taking a key leadership role as the Vice-President of the East-African Rural Broadcasters Association between 1994 &#8211; 97.</p>
<p>Hon Winyi brings with him to Heart 4 Peace impeccable skills mobilizing huge masses for massive nationwide campaigns for health promotion, adult learning, business development and management, and the role of the media in the development process and more significantly, the role of the media in conflict transformation and peacebuilding in especially families and workplaces. Known amongst his peers as a ‘Business Guru’ Winyi is the founder and director of PB Holdings LTD and Tooro Health Initiative. Winyi is delighted to be associated with Hearts 4 Peace as a senior Animator.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><strong>Participant driven workshop to understand where conflicts come from, how they escalate into violence if not well managed, and what can be done to prevent or intervine</strong></p>
<p>In this seminar, participants determine the entire agenda. H4P animators come with all the tools, frameworks, models and techniques used in analysing conflict root couses and participants choose which ones they want to use within the available time. Participants are also encouraged to share experiences about the tools and models they have used before and found applicable in their cotexts.</p>
<p>Participants set the agenda and actively participate in runing the seminar to the end under the guidance of our animator(s). Usually, every participant gets a chance to animate or facilitate atleast one session and participate in evaluating all other sessions measuring their effectiveness and applicability of the methodologies used in their context. In the end, every participant designs or adapts a tool and explans how it will be used in their context.</p>
<p>In this seminar, everybody is welcome. However, group or team leaders, facilitaors or trainers, people working with conflict groups, managers, community development workers, child and youth workers etc are particularly encouraged to register or oder for this seminor.</p>

<p>With the world becoming more mobile and diverse, diversity has taken on a new importance in the workplace. This workshop will help participants understand what diversity is all about, and how they can help create a more diverse world at work and at home. Failure to address diversity well at the workplace or in community, could lead to several organizational conflicts capable of slowing down production and crippling the entire organization, family or community.</p>
<p><strong>How You Will Benefit</strong> </p>
<ul>
<li>Explain the definition, terms and history of diversity</li>
<li>Describe the meaning of stereotypes and biases, how they develop, and the reasons for your own perspectives</li>
<li>List strategies for removing barriers to encouraging diversity for yourself, in the workplace, and in the social community</li>
<li>Use active listening skills to receive messages in a diverse population, employ effective questioning techniques, and communicate with strength</li>
<li>Understand the importance of body language, both your own, and that of others, and recognize its importance in interpersonal communications</li>
<li>Identify ways to encourage diversity in the workplace, and prevent and discourage discrimination</li>
